Also, the man that lived next to the house we were staying at, shoed him out of his yard. It made me think that if he had just held him and come over and said "dawson come get your dog" we would still have him. Makes me think twice about seeing strays in my yard. He's a athletic little dude. Scrambled up an artificial rock yesterday after me and did a leap off from about 4'. I'm lucky to have good neighbors.... had help from one when he squirmed off his collar on a walk.

That's a total dick move on your neighbor's part. Boxers are friendly dogs and he probably would have stayed with him. You and he need to have a conversation.
