I know everyone on CP hates Cassel.....

So, after listening to Petro's weekly PMS rant about people unfairly bashing Cassel, I started wondering. What would it take for people to actually.....LIKE Cassel? I don't know if there's a thread on this or not because I'm way too lazy to go through all of the Cassel bashing threads.

FWIW, I don't think Cassel is all that great either, but he can, at least, complete a pass once in awhile, unlike guys like Campbell.

What I think would sway my feelings toward him is to do what he did against the Broncos, only when it REALLY matters. I know it would go against our offensive philosophy, but teams are stacking the box on us so much that it looks like it has to be done.......so how about you guys?

Richardson picked up the DE, Lilja double-teamed Williams, Moeaki released into the route and Cassel didn’t see any of it. Even then, he still had almost three seconds to get rid of that ball. He had Bowe wide open on the slant. Wide open. He just had to throw it where Bowe would have been and it’s 28-7 instead of 35-0. It was funny that they pulled Richardson after that play, even though it was the QB’s fault. Total sacred cow situation. O’Failaghan was terrible in relief, BTW."

Hey look everybody, the haters have another one on the hook. Looks like another night (and a couple of days likely) of the same crap retold once again. The same arguements about the same plays about the same person. Surely they will make some ground this time.

Like it makes a difference.

Ah yes, marijuanna does that to people.

Find some women fellas, jesus.

What you can't seem to get through that thick skull of yours is that many of us, myself included, are not calling for his repacement at this very minute.

I've said more than once that Croyle is not a solution.

We are simply discussing his shortcomings and why he needs to be replaced at the end of the season.

Quote:
Just in case you haven't noticed the team is 5-4, better now than in the past two years. In the first year of a new offense. A passing game that is called from the sidelines and a few exceptionally egregious dropped passes by the "best WR" we have on the team.

For those of you that feel that Cassel is the only problem here really need to get a grip on the game.
And no one has said he's the only problem.
He is, however, the most important problem.

Quote:
How are you going to write off his salary when you throw him out during the season?
His salary after this season is not guaranteed, so we don't have to write off his salary.
He gets cut before his roster bonus comes due, he's not owed a damn thing.

[qoute]It sounds like you, as well as many others, are ready to throw away this season, the first decent first half of a season in 5 years.

You tell me how you are going to handle this, then I'll send to Arrowhead in your name and they can call you for further advice on what to do to make the franchise better.[/quote]

No one is ready to throw away this season.
We want to see thsi team build on this season, which includes not only finding a better QB, but also improving the O-Line further, improving the receiver's, the NT position and finding another pass rusher.

After which, we can hopefully add depth.

Quote:
You think I'm happy with the lack of production, but you are just as full of shit as ever. I want more, but at the moment we don't have what we need. You can either support what we do have or be that fan that gives up and starts rooting for the other team in the Chiefs game every week. That seems to be your type.
Again, I am discussing what I see as a need.

I don't give a rat's ass that you aren't interested in discussing it.

And that is essentially what all of your posts amount to.
Cassel is our QB, so why talk about his shortcomings?

I do disagree with the 2nd year of the rebuild. Cassel is in his second year with the Chiefs but he is working with his third offensive coordinator. Gailey, Haley and now Weis.

Cassel is not as bad as you think. What are you going to do if he does happen to get the Chiefs into the playoffs? or further?

Basically my point is that none of the people proclaiming to know what is going on doesn't have a clue. If they did I'm sure they wouldn't sitting their ass talking shit on the internet.
You spend a lot of time pointing out a guy is a top 10 QB for never saying he's a top 10 guy. I know if I think the guy isn't top 10 I'm sure going to spend a lot of time showing everyone why he is.

And people thought I was you.

You are so secure in Cassel you can't even take time to tell us who you think is a better QB. I'm going to take that as you think he's the best QB in the league. Dumbass.

Haley used his playbook and simplified it because of the sudden change.
And if you knew what the **** you were talking about, and also paid attention to the changes last year, and the reason for those changes, you'd know this.

Haley and Weis both are deciples of the Earhardt-Perkins system.

Weis is simply expanding the playbook.

Whatever you want to believe.

The system might have the same base, but even Weis said in the KC Star before the season that the system would be different from last season.

You really should use spell checker when you are mad. When you don't you look like a dumbass - whoa, too late, eh

Once again, I'm not going to try to create a dream team in KC. We don't have access to anyone but the current three on the roster and any other has beens that are floating around.

Why whine about what we don't have and can't get?

I never said you were me, I know better. Even more-so now.

I'm sure Herm was the best coach ever while we had him. And King Carl was the best GM in the world until he resigned.

You don't know shit. Herman was a piece of shit from day one. CP had his time but outlived his usefulness.

You can carry this argument on by yourself, I'm not wasting my time.
