Hard to believe he's been coaching them since they were the Houston Oilers. Definitely coached some good teams... I do think the thing that's forgotten is the horrible salary cap problems they went through, he pretty much stuck it out. That's where his really bad seasons came from, not anything he did. I don't think he's quite as mediocre as people assume, but I'm not sure he's "great."

I think maybe one of the reasons why Fisher wanted to leave is because he had to fire Chuck Cecil, his DC and a guy who had been a coach with the Titans since '01 as well as a player under Fisher in his first full season as HC.

Last few seasons Vince Young kept bailing him out by winning games, only after Fisher was forced to play him by Adams. Thats definitely part of it.
