A person shouldn't have to leave to avoid abuse. The abuser should be thrown out. I am all for debate. I dont have problems with profanity. I dont have problems with anything actually. Sometimes it can be fun to unmercifully smack someones head off in here. But sometimes its way out of line.

I actually find it funny when people attack my personal character, since they don't know me personally.

I return the salvo, so to speak, but I'm not really offended by the insult since it has no basis in reality, and my return salvo's only attck the lack of intelligence shown by the poster in the thread.

That said, Im not going anywhere. Just giving my .02.

I have been attacked twice by people using my terminal illness against me. I can take it. The 1st time I was really offenended I will admit to that. The second time I just looked at it for who it came from and looked at it as a knock on them. It was Dane, the second time BTW, calling me a "half dead bag of dicks". Though it dont bother me too much anymore, I can see where it is out of line.

To avoid that type of attack a person shouldn't have to leave the forum. Someones ass should be thrown out. Its common courtesy.

And oh hell yeah, Im cheap. Especially when it comes to brilliance. I have so little to spare.

Please be sure to report that stuff if it happens again. Calling someone a name that has no base in reality is one thing. Using someone's real-life hardships against them is quite another. I'd take action on the latter pretty quickly.

Here is the reason I have zero sympathy for Dane being called ANYTHING.

He crosses the line of respectable behavior with regularity, someone goes too far on him and he starts crying for the mods.

He has never been able to take what he dishes out which is why he is the biggest hypocrite and douche in CP history.

And I am not just saying this because he is "gone". There are many threads I said it to him.

I picked the 3rd option of "depends on the rule'

There is some mud-slingin' that shouldn't be allowed...threats, family insults, and the like. There are some rules here already in that regard so unless people think that all the bases are covered with a few rules then I see no reason not to put a suggestion for a rule up for community vote. I guess if people followed the 'Golden Rule' all would be ok though...

Wow I didn't know Dane said that. **** him and I personally thought Clay should have taken a long vacation when he wished you would die.

This is exactly why I believe the rules should be more clear. Neither of those examples are in the bannable offenses FAQ along with racist comments.
