Next years draft I think we can finde a backup for jc and I hear there are some really good ilb. So maybe that's another reason why pioli don't want any long term deals. Continue to buil through the draft. We don't have many major needs. 1st round Ilb second rd Rt 3rd round Fb/Rb.

I see him as TRich in his prime. He doesn't have the character of a TRich, but a really good blocker who can run.

McClain won't make or break this team.
I'm comfortable with Thomas Jones retaining his job for one more year as JC's backup if all else fails...

I just think people are excited about getting a younger guy who can upgrade the position, be an option in short-yardage situations AND be a great lead blocker for Charles. Win-win-win.

Report: Pats bringing in Tommie Harris for a workout

Maybe the Pats really are moving away from a 3-4 defense.

Days after trading for top-shelf (when motivated) 4-3 defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, the Pats will be taking a look at 4-3 defensive tackle Tommie Harris, according to Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald.

Per Rapoport, Harris will be working out for the Patriots on Monday.

Harris, a seven-year veteran and three-time Pro Bowler, was cut before the lockout by the Bears.

And Wilfork is still young enough to be a dominant 3-4 NT for another 5 years.
