A solid RT, ILB, OLB, some DE depth and a RB2, and I'm thinking at least one playoff win, maybe two. Who knows from there.

Instead we're hoping that some marginally talented young players take the next step, instead of upgrading those positions.

Is what it is. Some of us expected Clark to go cheap as soon as we found out the cap floor didn't have to be met. Disappointing, but not a huge shock.
Exactly. We didn't sign any right tackle yet and let all the good ones go off the market. I like the Siler signing but think we could have afford to do better.

Play well enough in the regular season, and you only need two wins to get to the SB.

IMO, we didn't do enough to win one playoff game, much less multiple. Every young player we have would have to play at an extremely high level for that to happen.

The good RT's are gone. Richardson it is.

Breaston and Baldwin are more than just minimal upgrades.

This is a legitimate group of receivers, and there's no way in hell that could be said about our group last year.

C'mon, guys.

I think it's pretty clear the minimal upgrades he's referring to are at NT and ILB.

There's no debating that the WR corp is a million miles ahead of 2010.

All 11 of them.

Likely? Maybe, maybe not. But adding a player shouldn't depend on whether he makes us a Super Bowl team. Simply, would we be better with him than without him? You continually make yourself incrementally better, and eventually you look up and you're in the Super Bowl.

If we are going to win a playoff game, we MUST get tougher physically. Last year, we got physically manhandled. Call me crazy, but Im not too pleased with the OL. I think Richardson, and Albert are soft, and Wiegman can easily get overpowered.

I'd like to see the OL be rebuilt. I think we have great weapons on offense, but we lack the grit, and blue collared guys up front that can just get nasty and do all the dirty work necessary to help this offense flourish.

I think the OL needs to be revamped by get two new OT's and possibly a center.

I think there were some players out there that we should have made a push for, and I wonder what the hell Pioli is doing, seemingly sitting on his hands with just a 2 or 3 free agent additions when we have another couple of holes to fill.

Who's left out that at RT?

Is there anyone else left that could come in and compete with Torrbio in the NT rotation?

Is there safety out there that could improve our depth?

I don't belive SB contenders are built in free agency.

I believe they are built through the draft, but talent and depth can be added in free agency to the core of a SB contender.

No doubt about it. Of course I think you could question why we were in a position where we had to sign a street free agent to start a damn playoff game.

Pretty much shit out there guys like Max Starks and Flozell Adams. Though i'd rather have them for a year then rely on an underafted free agent.

I can live with Richardson at RT.
Would've liked an upgrade, but he's one of our own and he's improving.

They're depending on Asamoah to produce.
They're depending on Studebaker or Houston (who is still unsigned) to produce at OLB.
They're also depending on Gregg's 35 year old body to hold up.

I don't like that at all.

But if we were to sign a Jason Snelling and one of the vet Safeties...
And maybe a veteran backup at QB... We could repeat as Division Champs and maybe win 1 playoff game.
