As soon as some talking ass cap says anything negative about Cassel, he is all of a sudden a NFL Guru God...

**** I am sick of Cassel as the rest of us.. But this team is shit and full of holes everywhere...

The OL and DL are a joke... Just pathetic. We cant cover a TE to save our asses... Our secondary gets worked... Jamaal loves to fumble.. Shit the list goes on and on...

But all anyone can do is bag on Cassel.. Where is some quailty football discussion.. This place has gone full reerun...

And on top of that Jack Harry? ****ing Bitch please... Seriously how can anyone listen to this guy then qoute him as gospel?

If Brady, Rodgers, and Brees can receive praises all day...week...long for their performance during week 1; why can't Cassel be hounded for his performance during week 1?

IMO it goes both ways. If you are really...secretly...a Cassel fan, then yes this may be a tough week, season, for you. Perhaps try to stay away from the CP for the rest of the season because just as Brady, Rodgers, and Brees are praised for everything they do right this year, Cassel will get hounded for being...Cassel.

Who said he cant be hounded for his play? I honestly wish he would just go the **** away, along with Palko and Stanzi... None of the 3 do I care to ever see in a Chiefs uniform again...

but everyone is so giddy to be part of the cool crowd they are willing to turn a blind eye to other aspects of this teams failures... Just so they can look cool about Cassel and fit it... Thats the point..

You want to know what its going to be a Tough Season? Let me explain.

Cassel - its been swallowed to death.. No need to discuss...

OL/DL - Joke, abortion, invisible, non factors.

LB's - weak at coverage, non factors

Safety's - Karma has caught up to us...

Jamaal likes to fumble - Wait he is a fan favorite cant talk about him - nevermind.

That's fine. But QBs will always receive much of the glory for great performances. So it's only fair the receive all the grief too.

I agree with the points you made above, but those issues will always come second to QB issues. If you dredge through all of the "Cassel Sucks"-based threads....you will eventually find the ones regarding the issues you brought up. They are their, but they will never be a bigger topic than the QB...even if in reality they are the bigger issue.

Agree.

Guess it just going to be a fun season of football with a painful message board again...

The Chiefs D-Line absolute needs a shit load of help, and the LBs in coverage is a problem, no doubt.

You know how you cover up some of those issues on defense?

You get after the QB.

The Packers aren't wasting the talent of Clay Matthews by dropping him in coverage on almost every play.
They send him after the QB.

Meanwhile, we have a guy with beast written all over him as a pass rusher in Houston, and we send him after the QB on 3 plays.

3 ****ing plays.

That's just assinine.

Then on offense, while the o-Line is not good, they actually did a better job of protecting Cassel than the Pack's O-Line did protecting Rodgers.

The difference that, even in the face of pressure, Rodgers can read defenses and make plays, while Matt Cassel sees pressure where there is none and checks down, and he still can't hit a reciever is stride from 5 ****ing yards away.

You win and lose games with pressure on the QB, and with Qbs that perform under pressure.

We have a passive scheme on defense that allows the QB to stand tall in the pocket, and a QB that is the Duke of Dink.

100 ****ing times THIS.

Cassel has plenty of time in the pocket.....he just shits himself whenever he sees an opposing player within 5 yards.

And for all of the love that Romeo gets.....the man comes up with some shitty schemes. All he did against the Bills was rush Hali....and guess what the Bills did? They double teamed Hali and gave Fitzpatrick all year to pick us apart.

Mathews is the Packers' 4th man pass rusher. You make it seem as if Houston is the Chiefs' fourth man after the QB when that duty is Tamba's. The DL is not what the Packers have. The Packers team has been together for a long while. They have depth at many positions.

Look, this has got to be said - the Chiefs are in the hole because of the Hunt family. This franchise was neglected over several seasons. It's unfortunate Lamar Hunt didn't have a plan in place or somebody in the Hunt family didn't have a plan to take over president responsibilities.

The whole CP - here too long scenario, the desperate trades and piss poor drafts. Gun, Dicky, Herm. All of that didn't have to happen.

This is on the Hunt family, it's unfortunate because Lamar was an amazing man. But fans simply don't have any compassion for others anymore. They want what they want and if not, on to the next.

This is not Pioli's fault or mess. He's the first man in to start cleaning it up. If you people get rid of Haley, you're pretty much hobbling Pioli's ability to continue cleaning this mess up.

These men got you people a AFCW Title. They are doing you right. Success often comes in biannual waves for NFL teams. It's typical for a team to come off success and fall off for a season, then come back stronger.

Two Years ago he tried to convince everyone Haley flipped a fan off after a loss. Knowing that Haley Did Not as I was at the game and watched Haley run off the field I sent JH an e-mail asking him to recant his story. He wrote back and said that a friend had called him and told him it happened. So he was not even phoning in reporting, he was waiting for someone to phone him and reporting it. No way this guy should still be on a news show, sports show, TV at all or radio. He flat out bites and I can't change the channel or radio station fast enough when he comes on. He has no credibility.

Other than that though, I like him.

In today's NFL you can't blame the state of a franchise on people who coached the team 11 years ago, or even 6 years ago.

You are correct that success often comes in every other year cycles. However, the teams that usually end up succeeding after the down year (NO, GB) a have franchise QB.
