I actually liked the read. Circumstances dictate everything in our lives. Sometimes circumstances preclude us from reaching objectives - sometimes they propel us to something bigger. Jenkins, obviously, a victim to the former has coped and made something of his life anyway. I liked his perspective. There's a lot more to live than the NFL.
