On balance, however, this was the only legitimate 'impact' move they even attempted this offseason and it went so well that he never saw the field and was made a scapegoat for a shitty quarterback.

The move itself means very little, but it's still an indictment on the overall performance of this front office.

Their performance this season has been a complete, unqualified disaster. The Executive of the Decade should shine when the degree of difficulty is raised. Instead, Pioli and his band of merry sycophants absolutely cratered.
