They can get out of control quick. I was shooting 3 to 5 a day all summer.
I have shot 2 in the last month. Problem is over
I quit counting after a 100 kills. My best guess 120 -140
Plus some cripples that crawled away & died.

kid down the road comes over and shoots the piss out of them. skins them and gives a few to my great uncle who fries them up and eats em. takes the rest home. he keeps all the tails on a fence behind his house. he's got some possum tails hanging up too. seems pretty proud of it. makes me laugh.

We are starting to get a few around here as well. So far, they haven't caused any problems, but if they do, I have numerous choices around here for a little discreet urban hunting.

I will treat them the same way I treat birds that manage to get under my cherry tree net in the summer. One shot, one kill.

my grandmother used to hang rubber snakes in her cherry trees to keep the birds away.

Hmmm, I may have to give that a try. Snakes may work, I know hanging their dead relatives from fishing line didn't seem to do the trick.
