Was winning this game worth completely blowing any shot at a QB?

We are officially out of the running for any of the quarterbacks this year, barring an unforseen trade that is highly unlikely.

Enjoyable win, but as 'Hamas' would say, "pyrrhic."

What made you think the Chiefs would draft a QB that would make a difference if they lost.

This was a legitimate win with a legitimate QB. If this was done with Palko/Haley, I would overwhelmingly say no.

Now, though? Not so sure. I'm conflicted.

This was the one game this year that I am not too upset with a win. Sure it hurt our draft stock, but we beat the Packers and ended their unbeaten streak and the defense was unbelieveable. We are going to have to trade up for our QB, so we will see how serious Pioli is about getting one and not relying on Orton for the long term.

I don't think Orton is legit.

He's average and won't hurt the Chiefs unlike Cassel.

Always want the Chiefs to play to win. Let the Crennel/Orton era begin.

He's a legitimate starting QB. Not a top-tier guy. Far from it. But he's legitimate. It's been so long since we've had that kind of QB around here.

I doubt it. Ask Denver fan. Orton may be better at play action and throw a better ball down field than Cassel, but any Denver fan will tell you Don't get to excited about Orton. Typical - 0 for whatever in the red zone.

At least since Green, although I would not put him on Green's level.

He'll be decent enough. He's league average. He's a good short term solution, doubt that he would be a good long term one.

He's a poor man's Trent Green.

If we assemble a killer team around him we might have half a chance.

Thing is, we'll probably win at least one more game anyway, so might as well finish strong and go into the offseason with no question that Orton > Cassel.

By the way - if this game had been Haley winning with Palko, my answer would have been different.
