Anderson won in Quinn's rookie year kind of hard to play him and started out the second the same way, then Anderson fell off the wagon and Quinn got hurt.

I know that. DA is from my alma mater, so I watched a lot of Browns games in '07 and '08. RAC seemed very reluctant to play Quinn, even in '08 when it was obvious that DA was struggling. Either he is very loyal or he thinks Quinn isn't very good. Quinn hasn't done anything since to dispel that notion, either. I'd expect DA before Quinn.

Quinn was put in a shitty situation to begin with.

I know that this was a battle between our guys but there was a huge outcry to play Quinn even during DA's great 10-5 season. It got even louder when DA started out poorly. It would have been very easy to put Quinn in and placate the masses but they didn't until the season was lost. Either RAC is stupid or there was something wrong with Quinn. Since Quinn went straight to back up after leaving the Browns, it points to him being a bad QB.

Do you think the Browns "ruined" him?

Ruined him? No. Set him back? Yes.

Quinn sitting for the first year because of DA's success was fine. Mangini ****ed up Quinn because anytime he threw an INT....he would get pulled. Then he would get put back in....until he screwed up again and then he would get pulled. Quinn never really got an opportunity to "learn" from his mistakes. Then he gets traded to the Broncos....and he gets to sit behind Orton and Tebow. He was never really going to get a chance to compete in that situation.

Do I think Quinn is a Top 10 QB? No. But he can at least be a really good backup QB.

Fair enough. I have to admit to looking at the situation through orange colored glasses. I was curious about the gold colored view.

I wouldn't be opposed to BQ as a cheap back up.
