Timmy Christ named to the ESPN NFL Any Era Team

Timmy makes #19 on the list ahead of #20 PEYTON ****ING MANNING

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/74...s-qb-tim-tebow

Quote:
ESPN.com and ESPN The Magazine sought a list of the 20 current players who a 20-member Pro Football Hall of Fame panel and ESPN's John Clayton believe could excel in any era of the NFL.

Or, to put a finer point on it -- when Mike Ditka looks at today's player, whom does he want lining up next to him ... or across from him?

Which of today's players did our group of Hall of Famers deem really old school?

Well, I can tell you this: If Tebow doesn't get his head turned around, he's going to have trouble breathing again real soon...because Willie Lanier is going to crush his sternum with that padded helmet. That's legal in Willie's day.

Why is it that people who's sole JOB is to read, watch, and actually comprehend sports are so damn f***ing stupid when it comes to Tebow? The guy is not even an average QB. Of all the QB's in the NFL, Teblow would rank 34-35 (somewhere in the vicinity of Cassel)

Just because QBs didn't throw the ball as much back then doesn't mean they sucked at it.

Of course, what they're probably referring to is Tebow's incredible athleticism, allowing him to play multiple positions, which was the norm for the early NFL.

But that doesn't change the fact that he sucks in THIS era

Yep... That's waht it is. It has nothing to do with the FACT that he's not even a top 20 QB playing today. Much less a top 20 NFL player of all time. Who in their right friggin mind would even consider this an option? top 20... HELL no. Top 50.. not even close. Top 100... yeah right. Top 1000.... mmmmmm maybe, you're pressing your luck here too

This list isn't about who is the best it is whose game could translate best in any era. Tim Tebow would obliterate teams in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. As a Chiefs fan, frankly, I am embarrassed at the ignorance of my fellow fans. How can you not recognize the skills that Tebow brings to the table?

you misunderstand their job...
it's to get you to watch them talk about sports
and get pissed enough to email or call them and watch them again
and emial and watch them again
until they agree with them

spoken like the loser kc fan you are. Tebow has managed to win a playoff game in the NFL in his second year. Now I know being a kc fan this means little to you, but as a Broncos fan, that is pretty important to me.

It should. It means that because you guys squeaked by a beat-to-hell pittsburg team you have this guy as a starter for at least the next year. I'd be pissed off about that.
