I've been wondering why we Mizzou fans don't have one of these.

True, it didn't help that Texas was in the process of pissing down their legs in response to our zone when the shot was made.

That was Petro who said that, and he's right from a referee's mindset. It's one thing if the guy curls around a screen, sets his feet, and gets hit.

Its another thing to race around aimlessly, panic, and throw up a desperation line-drive in traffic while a defender smacks your non-shooting arm.

Refs are less likely to give the guy a bailout call in that situation.

Starting to get double posts in here, wonder if a new Mizzou thread should be started?

Foul or not, Texas didn't deserve to win that game. They played awful basketball in the first half, were bailed out with numerous questionable fouls in the 2nd half, allowed Dixon to score the game winning basket, and then looked horrible on the final play of the game.

In addition to the game, I forgot that 5* recruit Devonta Pollard will be visiting. He is the #9 overall player in the 2012 class and has named Mizzou as one of his five finalists.

He would be a HUGE pickup this late in the recruiting class.

MU got jobed by the Refs all night. It started early and carried until they finally caught a break on what would have been a very weak call on the last play of the game. Every time Texas frove they got a shooting foul. Every time MU drove it was like..oh well. Flip Pressey was mugged all night and not 1 call for it so people crying about the last play of the game really need to

Tigers should be resting up and getting ready for the game of the year against Kansas. I think Kansas will come in cocky, since I expect them to wax OU pretty hard in Lawrence tomorrow night.

I read a joking post on another site yesterday morning before the DGB signing. It was something along the lines of: "I can't wait for DGB to suit up. Between having him on the football team and Painter coaching the basketball team, we're going to dominate the B1G".

It was actually pretty funny, but it got me to thinking. We really came out of both of those shitty situations smelling like roses. With that said, would you trade:

1. The SEC invite for a B1G invite?
2. Frank Haith for Matt Painter?

I would answer no to #1. That's an easy call. My instinct is to say yes to #2, but I'm really not sure. The more I think about it, the more inclined I am to say no.

Why? You aren't going to win the SEC but you might have a chance at the B1G 10.

Give #2 sometime I think you'll change your mind.

#1 is an easy no.

#2 was an easy yes in October. Now, not so much. It will be interesting to see how Purdue and Mizzou end in basketball over the next few years. We may truly find that we are much better off with Haith than Painter. I know my view of Haith seems to get better with every game...he has truly gotten the most out of the team this year. Not sure Painter could have done any better.

Haith has done a very good job so far...but you got to remember, we have all of our returning starters and they are seniors.
Next year will be his true test...Ihave High hopes.

With that kind of attitude, Mizzou might as well just not play at all.

I think Mizzou has a very good chance to win, or at least be near the top of, the SEC East next year.

I would not be surprised at all if Mizzou does better in the SEC than Nebraska does in the big 10.
