Stuff You Could Live Without But Must Have Because Of The Quality

I've been going to do this thread for a few months, so here goes.

What are some things that you know of out there, that you may not need, but are in a class of their own. I'm talking top notch stuff, well above just very good, the best of the best and well worth it, because of the extreme quality. Things you would like, or would make great gifts for the right person. I'm not talking high dollar things like cars, lets say around $300, or less. Perhaps this will help with future gift ideas for people.

I'll post two examples:

1. I was trying to hunt down a leather bottle koozie, a cow (hair out) koozie to drink from, out in the man cave. (yeah twisted sense of humor) I looked all over and finally found one, right here in town, after googling the hell out of it. As far as I know, these folks are the only ones out there that make top notch leather koozies.

When I found them, I said the hell with the cow hair and invested in a bison bottle koozie. It's bison hide that's lined in Neoprene with a zipper and all handmade. I tested it all summer and I can safely say, this thing keeps my beer colder longer than anything I have ever tried, not even close. On top of that, the way it's made, it will last forever. I had one knocked out for my brother and my Dad as well. They have several different kinds of hides they can use, including things like shark.

2. If you, or someone in your family likes top notch candy, I'm talking the best you have ever tried, the Parrot Confectionery is a safe bet. These guys have been around along time, the early 50's to be exact and it looks about the same in there, old school. Whenever I'm in Helena, I have to stop for either a hot fudge, or caramel sunday. I also pick up two quarts of each for my parents and bring them back to town. All their stuff is handmade and or hand dipped. If you like candy, or have to pick out a gift for someone else who does, this is a safe bet.

Lets hear it, expain what it is and post a link.

I'm set with all the guns, fly rods and other sporting goods crap I want, so yeah, when you're talking Cabela's, that's about right. The price was what kept me away from it for the last three years. When I paid off last months statement, I had over $800 to spend in free Cabela's bucks, so I said, what the hell.

Save your money and stop overpaying for Sony's name.

Buy a Samsung or a Sharp. I have a Samsung plasma.

Its likely they make the TVs that bear Sony's name.

Quote:
Sony used the LCD WEGA name for its LCD TVs until summer 2005. The company then introduced the BRAVIA name. BRAVIA is an in house brand owned by Sony which produces high-definition LCD televisions, projection TVs and front projectors, home cinemas and the BRAVIA home theatre range. All Sony high-definition flat-panel LCD televisions in North America have carried the logo for BRAVIA since 2005. Sony is the third-largest maker of televisions in the world. As of 2012, Sony's television business has been unprofitable for eight years.
In December 2011, Sony agreed to sell all stake in an LCD joint venture with Samsung Electronics for about $940 million.[31] On 28 March 2012, Sony Corporation and Sharp Corporation announced that they have agreed to further amend the joint venture agreement originally executed by the parties in July 2009, as amended in April 2011, for the establishment and operation of Sharp Display Products Corporation ("SDP"), a joint venture to produce and sell large-sized LCD panels and modules[32]
Overpriced.

It is also bear proof, when you have two locks on it. (At least on paper)

I'm going to try to avoid putting that theory to the test.

Why didn't I see this before Father's Day? Doesn't matter. I'm grabbing the whiskey bison beer bottle koozie for me and the Texas wine koozie for my father in law down in Austin, TX.
Bad ass gear that nobody else has here. Thanks Bwana.

The gal works about 3 blocks from my office, it's never to late!! I'm going to call her up next week and order up 3-4 more bison. It has been between 90-100 for days and these things keep your beer a lot colder than a standard neoprene model, you snag at walmart.
