It's next week for sure.
I watched the game via the internet link provided in the thread. The feed was hazy and blurry but I think that expectations should be high going into this season. The Chiefs were well coached, well organized, didn't commit any "stupid" penalties and at the same time, relaxed and confident. What stood out to me was the line play on both sides of the ball. Both first and second team lineman came to play and kicked ass. The second team opened plenty of holes protected the QB well. I'll be very interested to watch more closely on a large LCD TV with the option of pausing and rewinding. All in all, this was the finest preseason performance I can recall in the past decade and maybe longer. This team is certainly DEEP in most positions and it showed throughout the game and into the 4th quarter. If this is the "beginning", the end should be bad ass. It's waaaaaay too early but my initial take on Romeo and his staff (including the final three games of the 2011 season) is that it's the best since the early 90's. Which to me, is very exciting. |
