It could very well be Bowe, Baldwin, Breaston, Dexter, Wylie and Copper.

I know, "three slot receivers?". Breaston is versatile in that he can play outside also, so really it wouldn't matter.

My other thoughts on WR is that Newsome will probably hit the practice squad. He's had a good camp/game, but wasn't snagged by anyone last year so...

Also, you'd have to think Kinnie, Bellamy and Hemingway could all make a run at the practice squad. Hemingway was talked about as if he was a surprise to fall so far. We'll see.

This year yeah but if McCluster develops into a slot guy or Wylie doesn't Breaston become expendable after this season? Isn't he making 5 mil a year? Just seems strange they'd pay Bowe all that money with Baldwin at the #2 WR then you have McCluster and Wylie.

McCluster might not be better than Breaston, but he might be a better receiver for Cassel than Breaston is b/c of Cassel's obvious limitations. McCluster looked really good in the slot the other night and has been second only to Baldwin in camp. Actually, Dexter scores more in camp, Baldwins catches just get more attention.

... and yeah, if McCluster takes the slot, Breaston could be replaced by a more appealing outside guy. Sorry, misunderstood the question.

im glad all these unproven WRs are the Jerry Rices of training camp

maybe one of them will actually do something in an NFL game when it counts not named Bowe or Breaston, who are proven.

You should find another board that finds your input valuable.

That would rely on you paying Bowe the next year, which might not happen. Next year could be Baldwin, Breaston, DMC, Wylie, and Copper/Hemingway/Bellamy/Draft pick.

However, this could be the year where the chiefs are able to actually sit back, and pick the BPA in the draft. Probably due to Cassel having an average 22-5 season and Pioli wanting to develop Stanzi.

Hopefully I'm wrong and either A) Stanzi turns into an average QB or B) We trade up and grab Tyler Wilson. Potentially, we could be looking at Geno Smith or Logan Thomas should they fall a bit.
