It's kind of crazy.

I have been and always will be a Chiefs fan. As the game started on Sunday, I expected a loss and actually was okay with the idea. I felt that, were we to be dominated again, it would mean we were that much closer to significant change for the better.

Then, when I got back home and found us in overtime, and ultimately winning, I felt kind of disoriented.

Do I want them to win? Yes. But I also want us to become a perennial playoff team and ultimate Super Bowl victor. If the only way to get there is to prove to the Hunts that the current regime is a failure, then so be it. Let's get the losing out of the way so we can sooner enjoy the blue skies of success.

As a lifelong fan, it puts you in a tough spot.

Well...we'll be in a 3-way tie for 1st place, Chiefs/Chargers/winner of Denver vs. Oakland

I hear ya Mr. FAX and I'm right there with you. A SCARY thought though is this that sucking doesn't necessarily guarantee that the Chiefs will become a perennial playoff team. The Chiefs have been stuck in various degrees of suckage for the better part of a decade, have had 2 owners, 5 coaches, and 2 GM's, have gone through "retooling" and rebuilding and are still no closer to being a perennial playoff team.

You're such an idiot.

We beat a crappy team, but last week we lost to a crappy team. Yeah a win is great, but the reality of the situation is that your man crush and boy butter supplier will cost this team everything in the end.

Let's just say we make it to the playoffs this year. You know what will happen? Cassel will fold like he did with the Ravens two years ago. The guy just doesn't have the chops to be a legitimate NFL QB, and as long as he is running the show on offense, this team will never ever be a winner.

9-7 would be extremely tolerable if the Chiefs had a Franchise QB. Sometimes, the breaks don't go your way but you can still end up in the Super Bowl (see Cardinals and Giants).

9-7 without a Franchise QB is pointless.
