With my tech stuff, I use a lot of bandwidth. I'd purchase the Direct TV and then have to buy bandwidth from someone else. I'm getting 40meg for $30 a month. If I try to go on the open market, I'm looking at $60-$80 for the same product. And down here, it rains almost every day for months, taking out the satellite for brief periods.
I'm not paying a dime more for the NFL Network and the RedZone channel this year. Not sure why but, I'm not going to complain.

Not that it matters since you have so many other reasons to not go with satellite, but if rain is causing your dish to crap out, it isn't aligned properly.
