Dead serious. Why else would you offer someone an extension if you didn't like their ideas? There are many ideas that are good but ultimately fail because of lack of execution. If Hunt extends Pioli he's giving him a chance to execute his plan but including insurance for himself if shit continues down this same path. I have to imagine Hunt would have made it clear that the Cassel era will end after 2012.
