They are very few and far between.

This is why teams that play in the elements try to build a team that can run the ball, and why teams that play in fair weather cities or in domes feel the need to win homefield advantage in the playoffs more than teams that play in the elements.
Quit finding ways to protect Geno. I want to draft him at #1, no doubt about it. I'll make it clear again. I want to draft Geno Smith at #1. Just quit beating around the bush and making excuses for him. He sucked today plain and simple. He couldn't throw pass 6 yards on most plays.

The game was overall shit, Geno still has some flaws, but most QBs do. Geno is not a god of QBs like most CP members make him out to be. Stop blaming the snow lol

This right here.

People need to understand why there are questions about his game, rather than make excuses.

it's like everything else around here, it's turned into 'A Battle' which is more about the fight than it is about the subject.

group 1 vs group 2 ... lets fight!!

makes no difference what the topic is or what happens ... one group defends while the other group attacks. The next subject they reverse roles.

In other words, you can't remember any great games by a QB in the elements.

I am absolutely recognizing the fact that Geno had a bad game today.

But anyone that dismisses the elements as a reason is being an idiot.

In the nearly 50 years I have been watching football, I can only remember 3 or 4 games that the QBs have really overcome the elements to play a a realy high level.

There are certainly more than 3-4 if someone took the time to research it.

Tom Brady has had two ridiculous games in true blizzard conditions in the past three years - one in Chicago and that game against Tennessee at Foxboro where he threw 5 TD's in one quarter.

That is also possibly the GOAT. So...not entirely valid to use him as an example, unless you're comparing Geno to the bottom or avg as well.

This is the shit PGM is talking about.

I said nothing about Geno.

I simply said that if researched, we'd likely find more than 3-4 great QB performances in bad weather - and that I could think of two in the last three years off the top of my head.

Ok, I didn't read that far back in the thread OTWP.

What exactly is crazy about my statement?

"If someone took the time to research, we'd probably find a lot more than 3-4 great QB performances in bad weather" is so outlandishly crazy?

I'm sure that there are more than just the 3 or 4 that I've watched, but the point still stands.

I don't think it has nearly the effect you think it does, but I'll leave it at that.

A great QB has to overcome things like this.

Excuses are for slapdicks like Matt Cassel.

And again, for the record, my wish is that we use the #1 overall pick on Geno Smith.
