If we pass on him, how far will Geno fall?
Let's look at this from another angle. Say we take *insert player here* instead of Geno Smith. Who grabs him instead of us? I say the Raiders won't be able to not take him, and we get to pay for it for about a decade.

This is a quarterback league. There is no position on the field more important to a team. I still say Geno is the pick based on that fact alone, but if I'm wrong, there is going to be a team picking not that far behind us that will thanks us greatly and swipe him up. Opinions?

He doesn't have to be a "Luck" type prospect. I think we'd "settle" for a Russ Wilson who he's a better prospect then.

Personally, I don't think so.

Barkley's got a bum shoulder and had a poor senior season. Wilson's team sucked ass after Petrino was fired and looked like shit at the Senior Bowl (as did everyone else not named EJ Manuel).

Bray's a 4th rounder, if not a 5th in any other year, Nassib benefited from scheme and coaching and Smith was good at times but certainly has issues (along with questions about his mental makeup and attitude).

As I mentioned in another thread, an agent I spoke to said that Zac Dysert has the brightest NFL future and he's a developmental 3rd rounder any other year.

Time will tell but I'm not optimistic about this class overall.
