If you think about it... this was in September... so, the gay dude may have JUST came out of the closet, and this could have been one of the very first times he had done gay stuff with a dude... to have it webcam'd and broadcast would have been horrifying to him.

Especially as a freshman... first month of school... Jeesh. I would have beat the living shit out of Ravi if I were him. And if I were to commit suicide, I'd of made sure that Ravi saw the promised land before I offed myself.

Speaking of homosexuals, have you ever noticed that with female homosexuals, there almost always seems to be one of the couple who looks more masculine than the other. I was watching something a few weeks ago and they showed Ellen DeGenerate (sp?) and her "wife." I mentioned how masculine Ellen looked (short hair, wearing a suit, etc.) and wondered why. My wife said, simply, "because she's the man in the relationship."

That's weird.

I've known several girls who harbored a kind of "fear" of men. I always found that strange. I mean, many people find it difficult to "understand" the opposite sex, but some girls take that to the point of legitimate distrust and apprehension. I figure it's due to some childhood issue or something and how many fine lesbians are created.

The TEENAGE KID made a HUGE mistake...a terrible lack of judgment...and did a cruel, cruel thing.

That said...he isn't a detriment to society, and he isn't a "criminal"...

he's a stupid kid that will have to live with his misdemeanor charge and get through his 3 years of probation...maybe face a civil suit from the family

You stated that they could get jail time if the media makes an issue of it and it becomes a career case.

In other words, you are conceding the punishment will be directly proportional to the zeal with which the state prosecutes the case.

Deserving jail time and avoiding it are two separate animals. If the prosecutors take this all the way to a verdict, the guy is going to jail. They probably won't do so because they simply don't have the resources to put that much time into one case.

Getting off light because the state doesn't have enough manpower to fully and fairly litigate your case doesn't mean you didn't deserve prison time.

wow, that's pretty damn unfortunate...too much we don't know...the kid appears to have been secure in his homosexuality..but it seems odd that you could handle that, but not being teased or "exposed"?..maybe he was struggling with it, or was worried about what his parents would think...who knows?

having sex in the dorm falls on him though..by doing so, he opened up possibility of ramifications (no pun intended) that might ensue....seems it would of just been easier to actually be in a private place if you wanted privacy, instead of a dorm room with tens of people right around the corner.

still, it's a bummer and lots of people effected by it.
