I got a bluetooth earpiece for Christmas...

I plan on using it in the car, and when walking around the house on a long call... walking around with it on my ear, isn't really my thing... but I feel like a i have joined a cult nearly hated as much as mullet wearers.

Bluetooth guy is preferrable when driving. I'd rather someone be on their Bluetooth than jacking around on their phone and broadsiding me.

What is the law on phones when driving where you guys are? California goes hands free on July 1st. While I am not a bluetooth guy, I have one in my cup holder and use it sometimes.

Glad hands free is becoming the law.

The problem is hands free or not makes no statistical difference in accident rate. It's the distraction of talking on the phone that causes accidents, not hands free or not.

there are studies out there that prove the level of tunnel vision when talking on the phone is the same whethere it's hands=free or not.

Actually anyone that has to be available for phone calls and does a LOT of driving the bluetooth headsets are a staple.

Soon laws are going to pass in just about EVERY state that will make it illegal to have a phone in your hand. Its already on Federal Installations like Ft. Riley next to me.

It's just a matter of time.

It's also nice when the WU likes to call me 10 Gawddamn times while I am trying to cook dinner. one push of a button on my ear and and I am still cutting and dicing while talking.

The law in Virginia is it is illegal for people under 18 to use a cell phone while driving, legal for everyone else.
The base I work at (Naval Station Norfolk) has banned the use of cell phones while driving, to include hands free devices.

I listen to music and make calls and they are HUGE on my head. Not very discreet. Small price to pay for no cord music listening.
