All this means is that Pioli has been given enough rope to hang himself quickly if he is in fact insisting on Cassel

This really, really depresses me.

The "exec of the decade" should be able to identify quarterback talent.

He's more concerned with trying to prove Cassel can play than actually winning games.

That's what puzzles me, what did that guy do to justify th price tag he was paid? No drew Bledsoe cannon, no Tom Brady precision or surgical ability,

We finally have a 2nd, credible source corroborating Charles Robinson's comments on Weis thinking Cassel was a waste of time.

What's funny is that in the interview Chadiha used that exact same analogy (i.e. the Titanic) and said he believed that Pioli would in fact sink with the ship in an attempt to prove he was right all along

Pioli has made very solid moves with the rest of the roster and if he just gets rid of Cassel, signs Orton and drafts a quarterback in the first two rounds, he would be a golden god.

I'd take that bet. If the fanbase is unhappy with the team and seats are empty, I think Clark would do whatever he has to do to lift the spirits to sell tickets.
