Don't come to Arrowhead and buy scalped tickets. The police are running undercover sting operations and cleaning out the scalpers. I talked to a police officer at Arrowhead this Sunday. He told me all of this. They will allow no more ticket sales on the property, not even for face value. I saw some scalpers in handcuffs outside the stadium. They are arresting the scalpers AND the scalpees. Be warned.

BTW -- He said they aren't worried about scalping on Ebay or at ticket brokers like ACE sports. He said they are only cracking down on scalping on Arrowhead property.

Now we'll have to try and buy them from some crook around the corner. Or pay exorbitant prices through e-bay. KC police have always patrolled for scalpers undercover, but in the past you only got in trouble for selling over "face". I agree. I'm just telling you what the officer told me. I also asked a Jackson Co. Sherriff officer. He said the exact same thing. That's why I believe it to be true and accurate.

There are ways around the system.

The problem with that is that they won't allow that to take place on Arrowhead property from now on. You could do this off property and on Ebay, but not on Arrowhead property.

This is how Ebay sellers get away with it. The Cops said they weren't worried about Ebay, just Arrowhead property. Sounds like King Carl is up to something.

I agree. Selling tickets at face value is the purest example of a victimless crime (although I don't believe it's a crime). It hurts absolutely no one. From the Chiefs perspective, someone paid $xx for a seat and no one profited off of subsequent sales, so they shouldn't care.

I agree, but cops get away with entrapment every time they do a prostitution sting (I've seen one too many episodes of Cops).

if you pay to park in the parking lot you can't be accused of trespassing and if asking face value or less you are in compliance of the law. Offering primary merchandise with a ticket kicker wihout vendor liccense can get you in trouble also but the city hasn't prosecuted a case like that since the Royals were playing in the I-70 series.

I totally agree. But I'm not going to risk it. I'm not buying any scalped tickets from now on. I'm not going to sell any either.

I don't see what people are complaining about. This is great news! If scalpers don't have a way to mitigate costs by selling at Arrowhead on Sunday, they will have to either lower their prices in the days/weeks preceding the game or quit scalping tickets altogether.

Anything that makes scalping less profitable will just help make more season tickets available to people who actually love the Chiefs and aren't just looking to hawk tickets.

Good. I hate it when we are turning in to the stadium and people are STOPPED in the middle of the freaking road so they can talk to these scalpers. Inside the stadium I don't care, but I can't stand those "I NEED TICKETS" morons.

It certainly can't help the scalping business. I think any fear of getting arrested at all is enough to scare away a lot of people who normally wouldn't risk that.

It's like downloading music. Scalpers and scalpees had gotten to the point that they did business openly and without fear. Some of them still will, but a lot of people will think twice.
