Cool pic... What do you shoot with? Or has this been brought up before?

I wanna save up for a nice Nikon, something that'll last for a while. But I wanna go digital andhave no clue how to find a digital camera that will last.

It is a good camera, nothing amazing...

It is a good camera if you want to take great pictures without having to be a compelte photo geek. The last stop before a jump to DSLR. IMO.

Thanks, sir! I'd really like to take up photography. I'm a total fine art geek, and photography would fit my attention span...at least on a sunny day, my attention span usually is around 1/500 of a second... lol.

I just have a Nikon point and shoot digital. I wanted something that I could just pull out and snap a quick pic and could fit in my pocket. Digital cameras are geting pretty damn good. You can easily pick up something to start off serious with for around $400. That DPreview site you linked is has some really great info.

For what it's worth, my pic of the lake from above is just a Nikon point-and-shoot digital as well. They really are getting pretty good these days.

Really makes carrying a camera around a lot more practical. I was really amazed by the detail on my Nikon.
