New QB debate

So, now that Plummer is no longer in Denver and Green is on his way out in KC... can we start the debates over who is better between Cutler and Huard?

I'm going to miss all of those threads with ... Plummer > Green and vice versa. We need to address this quickly as I don't want these grand QB debates to be lost.

Actually, no. The Broncos have the best quarterback in the division by a landslide right now.

Rivers is by FAR the best to date. Lets not crown Cutler yet, he throws a pretty ball but so does jeff George. Rivers won 14 games and actually got his team to the playoffs last year thats a hell of a lot more then we can say for Cutler. Every one seems to talk about his ability to throw the deep ball but they have all forgotten that he had plenty of chances to beat san fran in the final game of the year and he couldn't get it done.

With Donnie Edwards back to take care of pass coverage, I hope DJ will be able to blitz a bit more. Add in Knight and Wesley gone, Pollard will be on some blitz packages as well.

If Herm lets this happen, Cuttler will be as jumpier than Jake was.

Hmmm... I think Rivers is good, but I'd like to point to LT's 30+ TDs and 2,500+ total yards and say that HE (not Rivers) led his team to the playoffs.

No. Rivers was coddled for a great portion of the regular season and completely exposed by season's end.

Cutler wasn't given an equal opportunity, nor did he have LaDanian Tomlinson and a stellar defense. You give Cutler a back like LT and he will light shit up.

Cutler is more talented than Rivers and a better player.

Yep. LT and the D got them to the playoffs. Shoot, they probably could have carried any of the Raiders QBs to the playoffs too - and they were really bad.

How can you even say that? Potential doesn't mean squat. Hell, Ryan Leaf had tons of potential that didn't translate. Cutler hasn't done shit yet. And neither has Croyle. And until Green decides whether or not to go elsewhere he's still the best in the division.

Did you watch Cutler last year? I saw every single one of his games. He's a scary mother****er. I never EVER got that feeling watching Philip Rivers.

Cutler is better than Croyle. No discussion.

Croyle may end up better...but that's only speculation.

I watched every single one of Denver's games for the past 10 yrs. I live in Bronco land. My GF is a die hard Bronco fan. River's has nothing to do with it. It was your statement that Cutler is the best QB in the division. He ain't. Green still is. Potential doesn't mean shit until it translates onto the field. And it hasn't for Cutler yet. Nor Croyle for that matter.

Green is the best quarterback in the division, but he's being traded? Yeah, that makes sense.

And yes, it has. Cutler played quite a bit last year. He's a beast.

Rivers was coddled for one game, they opened the O in SD after the loss to the ravens last year. Every QB would like to have LT, but Rivers has him and Yes that makes him better(you know whetever it takes.) Cutler might be better in the future and he might fall flat on his face. Rivers is the best in the division right now, Cutler hasn't done any thing. I've seen Vick look really scary in a few games but that doesn't make him a good QB.

Eh, OK. Rivers just seems like another quarterback that needs alot of talent around him to succeed. Cutler is the engine that makes everything go.
