Is Clark even aware?

Would he care if he were aware? I'm wondering if we need to tattle on the idiots over at Arrowhead.

I haven't the time, but maybe if someone were to print all the kcchiefs.com columns in which Chiefs fans are insulted and degraded and highlight the specific lines that seem over-the-top. Send it to Clark in Dallas or where ever he's residing these days. Perhaps that would impact his offseason decisions.

Insulting the fan-base is so chicken-shit it's embarrassing. I wonder what would happen if I started insulting my customers two or three times a week. These homeowners are so stupid they don't deserve to even own homes. Wow.

Is this a dumb idea?

I think the behavior coming out of One Arrowhead is just pathetic. I've followed the Chiefs and NFL in general for as long as I've had access to a television. But I'm very quickly being driven to watch Saturday football and it has little to do with how badly my Chiefs are performing.

Sad but true. Carl Peterson has been the Bill Bidwell of the AFC, just with a fan base that supports the team.

For some reason, when some Chiefs-related mouthpiece points out that some portion of the fan base is filled with cry babies and spoiled, fair weather fans, I don't feel insulted. Maybe it's because I know I'm not one of them.

Maybe it helps if you recognize that the Chiefs are really Clark's baby to do with as he pleases and that you have the option to turn your back on the team at any time you see fit (preferably without resort to the self-pity act in the process). I doubt that the Chiefs are in any real danger of permanently losing their fan base. All they need is a successful team and their seats will be full again whether it's with the same butts or different butts. Every butt's green spends the same so what difference does it make? I plan on sticking it out through the lean years. Hopefully they won't last anywhere near as long as the Steadman era.

That's a good point, patteeu. I've often said that anybody who is paying attention to the Chiefs can't be a bandwagoner. Which means anybody reading this is a "true fan". Hence, I don't feel like my own toes are being stepped upon. However, I don't like the condescension and arrogance coming from the talking heads at One Arrowhead. They're in a position where humility would go a long way. Their heading should be locked there until they do something about which they can be arrogant.

Yeah, I probably should have made clear that I wasn't pointing the finger at any particular planeteer, too.

I hear what you're saying. For their own self-interest, they need to be concerned with PR, but aside from what goes on in this hotbed of intense Chiefs scrutiny (i.e. ChiefsPlanet), I'm not sure they're really impacting their fanbase all that much with anything they say on kcchiefs.com, positive or negative. I think the success of the team on the field is overwhelmingly more important than those articles and I think they will have no problem re-uniting with a full house when they put a winner back on the field.

I wouldn't worry. They had to sign a new lease to get the Stadium improvements, IIRC.

Gretz just insulted the Chiefs fan base

if you don't feel insulted then:

A. You generally don't feel insulted by what anyone says for whatever reason

B. you don't feel like part of said fan base

C. you somehow feel "better" than the rest of the fan base so that the insult somehow doesn't apply to you.

just my opinion

I think your chances of getting one of the writers from ESPN or Sporting News to write/announce something and having Clark pick up on are better than getting to Clark.

Assuming he gives a shit.

This fact does not mean that he cares what we think or how we feel.

They are going to look pretty silly in their newly renovated stadium when 10,000 people show up.
