Farscape

I've been on a Sci-Fi kick lately.

I'd seen a few episodes of this show here and there, but I finally got around to watching it from the beginning. It's really very cool.

The only Sci-Fi series I really loved, was Firefly... and I saw that (too) after it was canceled. I've tried to be a fan of Star Trek : TNG, but I find it pretty dull at times.

I like the dose of humor Farscape adds. And I'm excited that I've got four full seasons to enjoy. I get the feeling that I'll miss it like I miss Firefly...

As usual, I'm way late to the party.

Every time Rigel yammers on abut being "Dominar over 6 billion subjects!" or whatever, I imagine a massive swarm of tadpoles.

I must admit I am pretty disappointed the Ranger spinoff series never amounted to anything beyond the pilot movie.

EDIT:
Oh, there is a movie "summary" of episode 1 (can't remember which one though, there are several B5 movies). I would NOT recommend using it as a substitute for season one. While it will get you to the good stuff faster (letting you skip season one), there is still a lot of stuff you will miss, and in season four you'll be shaking your head going WTF?!
Pretty much accurate.. IMO seasons 2-4 are the best sci-fi written shows ever made to date.. The acting by the lead characters and storyline is awesome..

And a couple more of Firefly and Farscape.
Now the bastards have decided to not renew Atlantis after this year. The quality of the SciFi channel has been dropping every year. IMO.

That would leave Eureka as the only show I watch on there very soon, since Battlestar is going to be in its last season as well. Of course I guess they are working on Caprica so I guess that will be ready to go when they are done with stargate.

Of course there will be some terribly unwatchable B movies on the station to remind us how much they suck.

They're cycling in new shows like Sanctuary, and they start airing Lost from the beginning in a couple weeks, so it's not all bad. Just mostly bad.

Damn, you guys have me wanting to go watch this show from the start (I only caught it in bits and pieces). I just don't have time for this shit - too many shows to catch up on!

Yeah, it is pretty enjoyable. I just remember back when Friday night was scifi night with farscape and the invisible man (the other show might have been sg1, but I can't remember now). I just can't get into Dr Who.

I briefly saw the commercial for Sanctuary. Wasn't really paying attention, but heard "Samantha Carter". Will have to check that one out.

Eureka is a "fun" show. I enjoy it, but I wonder if Stark will be coming back later in the season. After all,he "imprinted" a small piece of himself on the diamond. Who knows what that means "in a town like Eureka".

Definitely time for some new shows. I mean, they've got plenty of time slots to fill if they'd get rid of that crappy wrestling. That still pisses me off.

I just watched the commercial for it on the scifi site, looks like another show to add to the list of things I'll have to watch when the kids go to bed, as if I needed more of those.

Oh yeah, forgot about the Invisible Man! They actually do seem to be pretty good with shows, they just never let them run very long, and their movies SUCK MAJOR ASS. I don't think most people did, but I even liked the Dresden Files.

So did I, Amanda Tapping with black hair? Interesting! She always had that weird hotness, not exactly a hot body or face, but something made her a MILF. The new hair color helps!

I liked the Dresden files, didn't consider it a must not miss show, but was still better than a lot of crap on TV. Them canceling The Invisible Man show sucked, as even my wife liked that one.

Point of parliamentary procedure, your honor. Amanda Tapping has a smokin' body. She just never got to show it off with the BDU's she wore on Stargate.

Speaking of which, I just got Continuum. I think I'll go watch that.

.

Amanda Tapping played a major role in developing Sanctuary. Initialy, SciFi wasn't very interested so Amanda and.......can't remember the other persons name, put the entire thing together with out any help from the major studios. They marketed is as a web series with around 6 episodes. It was the first "series" ever published on the internet exclusively.

I guess SciFi took notice and decided to give it a shot. The webisodes were pretty good, not long enough but good none the less. I'm really looking foward to the television premier.
