Yup, I saw the replay and cussed LJ more than anyone. Apparently, nobody told him that you have to block with more than your finger tips.

Some guys just need to get into the right situation for things to work out. We found out pretty quickly that Gunther couldn't coach himself out of a paper bag, and that his entire success in the 90's was due to riding Marty's coattails.

Let's hope Crennel is the guy who can get the best out of DJ before he goes somewhere else and blows up...

He owned me in that game, it was embarrassing. Jenkins played in the NFL for a couple years mainly as a returner, but was never really special.

I thought DJ was drafted for his position and that Parcells traded a 5th for him because we no longer had a starter spot for him and that Bell was already here, but it may be a little fuzzy and I may be wrong.

Crazy that one of the crucial plays in a game that year that we lost by a missed FG was a sack before halftime by Scott that forced the fumble that turned our fortunes in that game. We ended up missing the playoffs by one game and Pittsburg won the superbowl with the 6th playoff spot. We should have signed Ty Law before 05, not 06...05 could have been really special.

****ing irony
I noticed that you posted this in the wee hours of the morning. Did you go out drinking last night or something? The first sentence hooked me then it went completely wheels off after that. Sorry bro, but I don't follow on this one. How about a do-over minus the Ronney Jenkins ass-whoopin???

Who are some Chiefs you wish were still on this roster?

Jared Allen (obvious)
Scott Fujita
Key Fox
Jimmy Wilkerson

To name a few....

Of course I guess this changes since we're a 34 defense now, as there wouldn't be any use for Wilkerson, but he was still a pretty good player with some upside.

Another solid player, the Chiefs gave up on too early.

I never could understand why Fujita was not kept. He is one of those solid starters that you have to have at at every position. He does his job, and actually wraps up and tackles. If Fujita is one of your starting linebackers, that is one less position you need to fill.

Chiefs have made some really horrible personnel decisions. It just kills me. I would absolutely love to have Fujita, JA, Wilkerson, etc, etc.

Not Pollard though. Pollard is in the Warfield, Wesley mold. Tons of talent, but a complete liability on any given play.
