Anyone who blames Cassel for this loss is and idiot.

The defense let us down plain and simple. The 3rd and 2 call was bad, but the D forced 1 punt in the 2nd half. The rest of Houston's drives all resulted in TDs. No excuse for that.

Why? We needed him to make a play and failed. Sure, the D shit the bed. But, in a game like this, he's got to make a play to seal the game there. He failed. Everyone failed today.

I dont agree. You dont go from having a big lead late in the game and scoring 30+ points, then give up TD's in the last 4 possessions and somehow blame the QB for one play.

The QB was not the problem today.

He made the plays we needed him to make to win the game. The defense gave up 4 consecutive TD drives to end the game.

Yeah, it would have been nice to have completed that 3rd down pass to seal the game, but one bad pass in no way makes him the goat. In fact, I'd blame the play call before I layed it on Cassel.

They all failed. He did play well, though. He's not the answer. A good QB would have executed.

I think you can insert just about any position into this and have the same meaning after todays game.

I'm no fan of Cassel, but the defense deserves the biggest share of the blame for today. Cassel played his best game this season. If the defense makes ONE STOP on the Texan's last four possessions, we win. End of story.

I think peoples hatred of Cassel is clouding their judgment for the most part.

I agree with all of that, but voted for Weis and the 3rd down play... really though, the call was full of fail. Calling a pass in that situation, the call itself which didn't seem to be a high percentage play, Moeaki pulling up, and Cassel's throw might have been overthrown even had the TE not stopped.

Guess you have to take the good with the bad... the 4th down calls cost us 3 points against the Colts and gained us 4 points against Houston... but in the 4th quarter, after watching the run game wear down the defense all day, you do what works.

I voted defense. DJ played like his d self rather than new self. Hali got ****ed again but needs to ay through it.

Flowers was a stud and yes the non call was BS.

All things considered we beat ourselves but not
in any way that isn't correctable so I can be pissed but deal with it. We lose next week and then I am concerned.

Defense shit the bed.

If you score more than 30 points and have a big lead toward the end of the game, you have to blame the D.

I was holding my heart throughout this game like Red Fox. Geeze I want to blame the refs for that BS call but too many bad plays on defense side to let one play break us. Cassel wtf, best game so far as a Chief but he still has a ways to go.

Ya know what Jamaal and Jones played outstanding they were fighting for every yard they deserve a game ball if we would have won. D Bowe played his best game this year too. I just say our defense let us down and leave it at that.

There should be an option for all of the above. I believe that all were equal parts in this loss.

Maybe not equal, but 50% defense, 20% Weis, 20 Cassel (last 2 posessions) and 10% refs.
