I rarely read game threads. I'm usually too involved in the game.

Me too. I try and catch up at halftime and after the game is over.

Didn't say it was the same thing. It's just more reason why this type of thread gets started...and believe me it will happen. It's already happened three years in a row. Even if Clausen turns out to be a solid QB, the fact that he was mad at Pioli for not taking him with the 5th overall pick when he could have been had more than a round and a half later is laughable.

Given his track record of picks maybe he should blindly adopt the opinion of experts. At the very least, he could allow for the possibility that there could be at least one other opinion that is as valid as his own.

He absolutely blasted anyone who suggested that an LT was worthy of being drafted ahead of Clausen. Never mind the fact that a LT went 50 spots ahead of Clausen and that several linemen were drafted ahead of him. It's one thing to have strong opinions. Hell, I don't even care if they are wrong. It's when you are so insulting of differing opinions due to some unwarranted sense of omnipotence that it becomes unbearable.

Mecca catches a lot of shit on here, but I think he's a good poster. He has well thought out opinions and brings a lot to the table. He can be condescending, but I have noticed that he doesn't normally lob the first salvo. I don't ever find him to be insufferable.

Hamas has a lot less football knowledge, and he tries to mask it with a nihilistic attitude towards those who dare to disagree. (At least I assume that's why he acts that way. It's equally possible that he's just a prick.)

Finally, you've got ROR who just wants to be part of the club. He knows jack shit about football or pretty much anything else. He tries to parrot Hamas who, in turn, is really just parroting Mecca when it comes to football takes. The problem is that so much gets lost in translation that he winds up saying things like "a quarterback needs to show that he can throw the 40 yard out with consistency" and that "he doesn't have a strong enough arm to put air under the deep ball, so he throws them on a line". He winds up sounding like Brick Tamland in Anchorman, and you mostly just feel sorry for him because he doesn't understand why he doesn't quite fit in.

When you don't have facts, just make up baseless accusations. You can't select an LT 50 spots in front of a QB who goes 48.

I was so pissed at Pioli for not taking Clausen, that I started the following thread after we drafted Berry:

http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showt...=Mother****ing

Yup, looks pissed to me:

Also, who did I blast for saying that an LT should never be taken ahead of Clausen?

Would I do that for the Rams who drafted a tackle at #2 the year before and who I had in the mock? No

Would I want the Chiefs to draft an LT instead of Clausen when they have Branden Albert? No.

So please, link and context to this supposed infraction as well.

Of course, you could just keep talking out of your ass, like mentioning the fact that Kordell Stewart played in the Big XII and that no good NFL QBs have ever come from BXII schools or that b/c Kordell Stewart was at Colorado in 1994 that he was connected to the Big XII because it formed in 1996.

I don't think being wrong... is that big of a deal.

I really liked the 2009 Draft class and took tons of shit for it.

I really didn't like the 2010 Draft class and took tons of shit for it.

But every year, I still have a blast during draft season, you guys chat up draft picks with me constantly, and we all have a great time in the ChiefsPlanet Mock.

I've been as wrong as anyone. It hasn't stopped me from having a good time and it hasn't stopped me from loving my football right here on CP.

So I fail to see why certain people in this thread act like the stakes are sooooooo high.

Just to prove it.

2009
1. Tyson Jackson -- I really liked.
3. Alex Magee -- I liked.
4. Donald Washington -- Meh.
5. Colin Brown -- Hated.
6. Quentin Lawrence -- Really liked.
7. Javarris Williams -- Loved.
7. O'Connell -- Liked.
7. Succop -- Really liked.

2010
1. Berry -- Loved.
2. McCluster -- Didn't like.
2. Arenas -- Hated.
3. Asamoah -- Was okay with it.
3. Moeaki -- Hated.
5. Lewis -- Hated.
5. Sheffield -- Was okay with.

I felt like 2009 had the look of a foundation. But I'm a trenches guy.

2010 felt like a bunch of doohickeys with zero foundation.

In that thread, I was pretty clear that no good QBs have ever come out of the Big XII. I believe that I mentioned in that thread that the closest thing to a good QB that has come from the Big XII is Kordell Stewart who completed his athletic career a few months after the Big XII was chartered. I acknowledged that he didn't ever play a game in what could be honestly considered the Big XII and that Vince Young was the next closest thing.

Stewart was a decent QB, but he wasn't a bona fide Big XII QB, and Young is Big XII, but he doesn't yet qualify as good. Ergo, no good QBs have ever come out of the Big XII, and those two are the closest there are (but they don't meet the criteria).

You really need to focus on next year's draft. I can't wait to see who emerges as the next great player like Vernon Ghoulston or who is going to suck like Orakpo. I learned that Texas players suck and never turn into good pros like Brian Orakpo, Priest Holmes, Jamaal Charles, or Ricky Williams.

If this thread doesn't result in a pick-em contest between Hamas and Hootie, the terrorists win. Let's just set up a thread where you and Hootie can pick games against the spread. We'll see who knows more about the NFL.

How is Vince Young "not good" but Jamaal Charles "is good"?

What the **** kind of logic is that?

And why don't you go ahead and list all of the "good" players in the NFL from Texas.
