Just had a thought - won't it be ironic if Joeckel is drafted by us #1 and then the most hated current player in KC?

The people that advocate Joeckel or Star I simply ask....why?

WHY?!?

Neither of them improve this team at all...talk about wasting a pick.

I've yet to see a valid argument for either....because there isn't one.

Those people can't tell you why. Same way they can't tell you why NOT a QB...well...other than, "Did you see the pinstripe bowl?"

I think the Joeckel stuff really hinges on Albert, his health, getting resigned, etc...

Star, I'm not overly opposed to. I'm about as ready to see Dorsey and Jackson on another team as I am Cassel and Quinn.

We have quite a few major needs, depending on how free agency pans out. I could be happy with a QB that they feel is the best, but I could be equally happy with Canty and Star coming to the DL and grabbing an QB at the top of the 2nd. At this point leading up to the draft, I'm not seeing that many QB's going off in the first round.

A QB would be my priority, but after the teams grades are realized and should none score that well, I would be good with the best player available.

Albert passed a complete physical already.

You so ready to see them gone that you'd use the #1 pick on a guy that's basically THE SAME? That makes no sense.

I'm simply saying that I think he could be a good player. Better than Dorsey or Jackson. If you want to call them the same, I'm not getting into a pissing contest over it. I simply don't see it that way.

And I'm not pandering for him to be the #1 overall. I'm simply saying...and God forbid Geno isn't the be-all savior of the world, that if a QB isn't taken 1st overall and we can't trade out, I wouldn't jump off a cliff if he's selected.

How does letting Albert go and drafting Joeckel make the team better?

Also, I'm sure the Dolphins have no regrets drafting Jake Long over Matt Ryan and settling for Chad Henne in the second round. The same Jake Long who will probably not be back with Miami next year.

I was worried that having the #1 pick would make the offseason kind of boring. That hasn't happened. It does make the offseason kind of stressful, though.
