Random thought on reincarnation

Do you think the reason that some babies and children are so much happier than others is because they are actually people who have been reincarnated?

These children realize they are living a second life and draw upon their past experience to live even better lives than their first time around.

Thus, they are extremely happy and appear to mature faster than other children. These are the children you grew up around who were seemingly better at everything - got better grades, were better athletes, scored more with the opposite sex - and were just generally happier.

There is a downside though - once these people leave their second childhood, they suddenly become depressed and unhappy. They know the soul-crushing work that now awaits them as adults.

These are the extremely sad people you see roaming the world as adults. Knowing they have 60+ years to go before they can experience another happy childhood, having experienced much of what life has to offer already. In their previous life.

I could think of no greater hell than to get hit by a bus tomorrow and be re-born the day after...

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).

I tend to agree with most of this.

However, I also think a case like this should be thoroughly investigated with an open mind. The skeptic in the video who immediately dismissed the claim without even investigating it isn't acting like a scientist. He's acting like someone defending a dogmatic position.

I don't believe in reincarnation, but I'm willing to keep an open mind about it. It's the closest thing we have to something that, if proved, would actually be evidence of life after death. It would be a game changer. It's certainly worth checking out.

There was a psychic at some party I was at once. She told me I was a bridge builder in my previous life.

You know it's really trippy to think of what will happen to us after we die if there is no afterlife/reincarnation/whatever. I mean what will nothingness feel like? Will my consciousness just turn off? That's it? ****, my ego is so vein I really hope there is something more to all of this.
