Patrick Mahomes met with Chiefs

This is relevant because Miller is pretty close with the Chiefs in general.

They have also met with Watson (as Clay showed), and Trubisky.

Watson looks relaxed.
Trubisky looks good.
Peterman looks solid, but probably a limited ceiling. wouldn't shock me if he has a Cassel like career.

Peterman as advertised: accurate in short to mid-range throws with good timing and footwork. Throws 20 yards +? All over the map.
Peterman is a high floor, low ceiling prospect.

it's going to be a race to draft this kid, whoever trades up in the late teens/early twenties to get him... wins.

Is it me or did Mahomes look small? Was hoping to be more impressed.

While the potential is intriguing with Mahomes, this board has gone mad with overhyping this kid. His measurables aren't terribly impressive. It is easy to look good in drills with no pressure, or where no reads have to be made. Everyone fawns over his arm talent, but what people are ignoring is his lack of pocket discipline, shoddy footwork, and penchant to bail at the first sign of pressure.

The fanbase's lust for a round 1 qb selection has blinded many to what is 1st round talent. Mahomes gives off a cool, macho vibe - the Alex Smith antithesis. I get why some are enamored with him.

The Chiefs will easily get a pass from the fanbase if they select a qbotf at 27. Moving up to get one at a prohibitive cost? Not Mahomes, and it is tough justifying the same for any/all in this class.

Watson/Trubisky would be better fits and one could argue are more worth moving up for.

PLUS- Watson filmed a series of Papa John commercials at Superbowl time, so he has already been annointed the next great thing by the NFL powers that be! Go get him Dorsey! End the Chiefs drought of playing in the Papa John....errr....Superbowl!

To me, he's a high 2nd that will get pushed to the 1st round due to need.

Nailed it. If this were a good QB class, Mahomes would not be near the top. Dude has a strong arm, no doubt, but he is very raw.

I wouldn't make any drastic moves to get any of these guys in the 1st round. If one is there when I'm picking in the 2nd, I might consider it. Just my opinion...

The kid had the worst defense in CFB and no real weapons on offense and still looked good. He's a better version of Paxton Lynch IMO.

But seeing as how this kid could go as high as early teens to a team like Buffalo, he'll obviously be out of range and we'll have to look for the 2nd tier QB's.

I can't help but think Brad Kaaya is someone they will love. When looking at his scouting report, he's got a lot of things to like.

-tall body frame with solid structure to easily add more weight
-pro style passer--every QB we've drafted fits this description
-very smart and knows playcalls, can read the field
-elite mechanics
-a lot of experience--same with Murray and Hogan

If the Chiefs draft a QB, I'm betting it's this kid

I'd be down with that. At this juncture, there is only one direction possible when it comes to the QB position for KC: Up. The timid ways of the current QB are only going to get worse.
And though he wouldn't start this year, the Chiefs need to get someone in there right now to start learning the offense.

Denver rookie QB John Elway, on Jack Lambert, after Lambert and the Steelers knocked Elway out of his first game as a pro (1983).
