For Oldtimers: LJ vs Okoye
I was watching the video posted by Nzoner (link here) of the Chiefs rolling the Bills in 1991 at Arrowhead against the SB bound Bills. Okoye was amazing.

Made me wonder - straight up - would you rather have LJ or Christian Okoye?

You young guys will not remember the Nigerian Nightmare - a 260 pound load of muscle, speed and heart.

I will add my all time fave Donnell Bennett to the poll...

Okoye only had one speed and gear. If you watched that game that was posted a few days ago, every run Okoye would just run straight right up the middle. He couldnt catch the ball worth shit, though neither can LJ. LJ is the better back though, I don't see how this is even a debate.

Okoye had very good speed. We just never saw it. And LJ has caught 27 passes so far this year. He caught 41 last year.

Okoye was my childhood hero....that being said, LJ is far and away the better back. As a teammate Okoye wins hands down.

Decent not stud. TRich was always the kind of player who would and did facilitate others. Not many would be willing to take the back seat without complaint but Richardson did and now that he's gone it's obvious that he was valuable. I always liked him as much for his personality and attitude as for his football play.

Yeah, T Rich is a high character guy.

And his play didn't make him stand out individually... but it sure helped the team.

that is the job description of a fullback. We have had a pretty nice run of running backs in KC the last 15 years... so Trich had a lot to work with.

Again. You mean he was not like the rest of the leagues "flashy" fullbacks? You get my point. That was his job. I loved Trich, and I know why people like fullbacks - because they have a blue collar image. But, lets not get too carried away. Kimble was a better fullback. It is not as though our running game has suffered since Trich left.
