:::Official Mizzou vs. Nebraska Thread:::

National TV...

The Non-Con (basically preseason) is over.

It's time for a true test. 85,000 screamin' Husker fans.

I'm a little nervous... and a lot excited.

I have a few friends who are hardcore Mizzou fans now, right?

Only they can't say the name of their own QB correctly and they can't name anyone else on the field except Maclin.

They don't sound very "hardcore" to me.

Yeah. But you should see all their brand new shiny Mizzou gear. Hats and sweatshirts proclaiming their hardcore-ness. They're just bandwaggoners.

Kind of like male versions of luv.

I took my kids to the renaissance festival a couple weeks ago. I don't think I've ever seen so much Mizzou gear at a non-sports related event.

I don't mind... there's plenty of room on the bandwagon.

I went to WOF this summer, and I saw the most KU gear I've ever seen anywhere. Just everywhere. I was actively looking for other teams. I saw a few people wearing Mizzou shit, but it was pretty ridiculous. I suppose I don't take a look at the bandwagon the same as you do.

There's a guy who sits in front of me in my Criminology class that alternates between his Mizzou and New England hat. I mean, WTF?

It really doesn't bother me. I'd rather have success and a crap load of bandwagon fans, than suffer through the crap we've had for years. Rooting for a "loveable loser" gets old. (not that I'd ever quit)

This is true. I remember the amazing surge in Chiefs fans in 2003. Where have they gone now?

Part of me wants to be there tonight, as there were plenty of chances to get tickets at work.... however, the other part of me thinks it'll be a 3-possession game after the first quarter.

Yeah, that's right, the Huskers will dominate!

Okay, maybe not...
