You know what really grinds my gears?

I've been noticing statements like, "Cassel will get killed against the Ravens."

Why the Ravens, guys? Our offensive line is shitty, right? Does it make any difference if he gets hit 10 times against the Ravens or 10 times against the Giants? How about the Eagles?

It makes no ****ing difference if it's the Ravens. He's GOING to get hit. EVERY damn game. If he's a tough QB, he'll take a beating and get up at the end of the play. Something Brodie Croyle does not do.

Sorry, that's a nitpicky thing that's been bugging me. Carry on.

Do us a favor. If the Chiefs do pull off a victory, come back and take the bashing that you rightly deserve. It will be fun.

Every hit in the NFL is the same. People who say Cassel is going to die week 1 are insulting Cassel by saying he can't take hits.

Let's say the Ravens hit him 10 times in a game. What if he were playing the Raiders week 1 and got hit only 6 times? Do those 4 extra hits delivered by the Ravens put him in the stretcher?

I know why people think, "the Ravens have a tough defense. We're weak. We're going to lose" and then equate it with our players getting injured. But it's still a ****ing myth. One thing does not lead to the other. If you're going to say he'll die against the Ravens, then you may as well predict Cassel will get injured every time he steps onto the field.
That's just beyond stupid. You're assuming that each defense is going to hit Cassel the same amount of times and in the same way, based on our offensive line. Who would you rather be sacked by Monty Beisel or Albert Haynesworth?

1. The better the defense, the harder it is on the QB
2. The more physical the defense, the more risk for the QB
3. The better the defensive line specifically the worse for us
4. The better the DE's the worse for our QB because of our OT's
5. The better the Defense blitzes the worse for the QB

Hypothetically if a QB could choose which defense he played against every game all year long, not a single QB would pick the Ravens. Why?

OF COURSE THE DEFENSE MAKES A DIFFERENCE, YOU FUGTARD.

By the way, how many sacks does Haynesworth put up in a season? Does he hit the QB more than a few times per game? How many QBs does he injure in a season? Haynesworth goes up against crap Olines all the ****ing time. He'll get a couple hits on the QB in. He hits QBs far weaker than Cassel all the time and they get up just fine. You know what makes a REAL difference in getting a QB killed? Luck. Did they hit them in the knees? How did the QB fall down? Did they hit their head? ****, you're a Chiefs fan, you should know all kinds of different ways to kill a QB.

I love it. You're preaching to me what makes a defense a good defense, and why some defenses are more feared than others. Like I haven't already ****ing done that. I've watched football for years. I KNOW A GOOD DEFENSE WHEN I SEE IT, JACKASS.

It makes a small difference. As I've explained before, the key to killing a QB is by getting lucky. ****, Bernard Pollard took down the almighty sacred tough Tom Brady. Did he do it because he was a good defensive player? **** NO.

**** me in the ****ing eye with a sharp stick. Just die.

SNR, There is a reason that there are a ton of injuries when the Steelers and Ravens play each other. They just are more physical. Do you think Squirmin Herman mother ****ing sack of **** Edwards' soft ass Tampon 2 hits just as hard and causes just as many injuries as does the brual ass shit that the Steelers and Ravens are bringing?

Man, was that embarrassing.

They may have updated the scoreboards and sound, but the same shitty in-game production remains.

Dam straight. The Steelers defense is just brutal even when they don't win they make you pay for it. I think our QB's better take out extra life insurance for this season.

@Ravens
@Eagles (if they are still blitz happy)
Steelers

even these are tough

Giants (great DE's which will just kill us)
@Jags (usually physical)
@Redskins (can you imagine what Haynesworth is gonna do to Niswanger and Goff?)

Do ya know what bugs the crap out of me? Know-nothing jerks who stereotype.

Take a look at the two hits which brought injuries to BC in his NFL career. In the first game last year against NE, he took a number of shots due to weak O-line blocking until he went down in the 3rd quarter due to a defender driving his right arm/shoulder into the turf. In his next game back, BC again stood tough until he received simultaneous high/low sandwich hits. On either play, nearly any other QB in the league taking such hits would be out with injuries as well.

In the last preseason game of this year alone, BC went down hard from behind-his-back tackle by a DE rushing past a worthless Lame-ion Sackintosh and took other hits as well. And yet he stood up after each one and continued taking them without needing a stretcher at any point.

Get this guy some decent blocking and he'll throw that ball with accuracy downfield, resulting in the defense being stretched to provide more effectiveness in the running and short passing games.

And STOP bugging the crap out of me!!

Actually, he may be somewhat correct. I have been pleasantly surprise by how Croyle has taken some hits this preseason and not been injured by them. The guy was injury prone in college and also once he got some playing time in the NFL. That has always been the biggest knock on him, IMO. Of course, I also wondered how much of that had to do with Herm's crappy luck regarding QB injuries due to his Club Med conditioning program. Hopefully, those days are over. If not, Brodie won't be around long.
