What would you consider a successful season?

Given all of the injuries that our team has had to endure so far and the lack of any impact players via FA, what would you consider a successful season for this year?

They just extended Alex Smith and will pay him @45 mil over the next three years.

KC IS NOT TAKING A QB IN THE FIRST ROUND.

Damn, people are dumber than shit on this board.

I'm already tired of seeing this "0-16!" response... thats NOT going to mean a first round QB no matter HOW bad you guys want it to be true.

Its going to mean a first round guard and second round WR.

If Smitty doesnt step up and start proving he was worth this money, I will soon be joining the chorus of doom... but the fact remains that this regime didnt just hand Alex all of that money only to turn around and draft a QB #1.

Its ****ing hilarious and deluded all at once, get real or there wont be a good football discussion on this board until atleast 2016.

Do you really think the Chiefs would draft a guard if they had pick 1.1? If so, you are by far the most pessimistic poster ever.

Get young players experience and snaps to evaluate if they are keepable for the future, since we are basically all about the future.

There's your chance to have a really dominant defense by adding a dominant 5-tech next to Poe which will help everyone else in the front-7 as well. Best chance at getting back to the playoffs in 2015.

I'd try like hell to trade Tamba/Charles/whoever and package picks to Cleveland for Gordon.

We've got a shitload of picks this year, make them as high in each round as we can. Fully and rightfully get the rebuild kicked off right.

Even if last week wasn't an aberration?

Even if they get the #1 overall pick, a #1 overall-worthy QB even according to fans who are scared of drafting QBs is sitting there, and Alex has a shitty season?

They would seriously pass on that QB?
