Waitresses usually have to pay the tab from their earnings.

Go back and pay it, just tell them who your waitress was and that your sorry you got so drunk. They don't care....between last night and now, the debt probably hasn't effected her anyways.

The sad truth is that owners almost have to make them pay it. There are so many scamming-ass bartenders and cocktail servers out there that will rob a place blind if they get the slightest chance. It is cool that he went back and took care of it.
