Broncos @ Chiefs ... time for craziness!

I figured I would post this since it's "Broncos/Chiefs" week (or Chiefs/Broncos, whichever you prefer) .

I have no grand visions of an easy win for Denver by any stretch of the imagination. Everyone knows that despite the fact that KC has been down lately and not playing well at home, it's a divisional game... and anything can and typically does happen. Somehow, the Chiefs have a knack for giving the opposing QB hell in games at Arrowhead. The Chiefs would love to win this one, they're playing pretty well at times despite the issues. KC had a huge win two weeks ago at home and played poorly this past week.

Denver shook off the 0-4 streak and won soundly at home vs the Giants. The Broncos need a win to keep pace with the Chargers and to put some distance between them and the other wildcard contenders.

It's not a "must win", but it is a "greatly needed" win for the Broncos... stats are stats and if you look at the numbers, Denver should probably win. I'm sure one of my counterparts (yeah that guy) will be along soon to state why Denver should totally dominate this week... I've been through this rodeo before, so I will continue to temper my enthusiasm with a nice dose of reality.

If Denver plays like they did against the Giants... which is how they played for most of the 6-0 stretch, they will win this game. If the defense has a bad start and if the Oline can't protect Orton, then it's going to be a long day.

So, here's to a fun week of cyber kicking each other in the nards...

Broncos 23
Chiefs 20

Hahaha. This reminds me of my high school days. I attended Campus High School and at the time we were rivals with Derby High School. They always beat our ass in sports, but we won the most fights. The good ole' days.

That started a chant, "just like football" during a basketball game. We came back with, "remember Sonic?" Classic.

Looks pretty consistent to me. Asomugha > Bailey
Not even close. He's the best. It's been that way for near a decade.

Peyton is the better QB though.

If the Chiefs don't figure out how to put pressure on Orton (or any QB in the NFL, for that matter), it's going to be a long day for the Chiefs.

Having said that, I saw things (even Sunday) of a capable offense that could keep us in the game long enough for anything to happen.

DEN (7-4) – W: CIN, CLE, OAK, DAL, NE, SD, NYG..... L: BAL, PIT, WAS, SD
KC (3-8) – W: WAS, OAK, PIT..... L: BAL, OAK, PHI, NYG, DAL, SD, JAX, SD

DEN Score O – 18 ppg vs KC Score D – 26 ppg... ouch
DEN Rush O – 115 ypg vs KC Rush D – 135 ypg
DEN Pass O – 213 ypg vs KC Pass D – 258 ypg... ouch

KC Score O – 17 ppg vs DEN Score D – 17 ppg... ouch
KC Rush O – 98 ypg vs DEN Rush D – 110 ypg
KC Pass O – 171 ypg vs DEN Pass D – 185 ypg

Turnover Ratio:
DEN (+2)
KC (0)

I’ll hope Charles finds a way to hold on to the ball, but the lines, the lines… again it comes down to the trenches. KC must find a way to get to Orton or it’s over, and KC’s O-line must buy Cassel some time so he doesn’t make stupid throws.

As usual, doesn't look good for KC, but... um... well... it's a December game at Arrowhead! That's all I got.
