I could never ever imagine wishing for The Chiefs to lose, EVER. Even if it was the end of the season and we were 1-14, vying for the 1st pick, and I was vocal about wanting them to lose so we could get the top pick, Id find myself rooting for them to win during the game.

Rooting for The Chiefs to lose IS NOT in my blood. Period.

Well I for one was worried at the end of the Herm Carl debacle that he might win the last three and save his job so I'm a partial traitor.

What do you give a franchise that hasn't won a playoff game since 1994?

An undeveloped low-ceiling backup QB. Duh. Everybody knows that.

Well we sure know how NOT to win a Super Bowl. The fans of this team have seen a lot since we last won a playoff game. We've had an elite defense, elite offense, great RBs, bad kickers, great kick returners, conservative head coaches, non conservative head coaches, coaches who don't know their asshole from their elbow. And yet through all of the last 17 years, the closest we ever got to the Super Bowl trophy was when we had an elite QB. Even at the very end of his career, Joe almost got us there. That was a well balanced team. Good running game, good solid defense, and a QB that can win the game for you at the last minute. That's what you need to win a Super Bowl.

Haha. Yeah. Right.

Listen, none of us have the right answers. All I know is we tried one solution for Super Bowl success back in 1983 and it didn't work out. So we went in the opposite direction and tried that for awhile. It hasn't worked. At. All.

It's time to give drafting a QB in the 1st round another shot. It's been 28 goddamn years.

If we have to be the dead last team in the NFL to get the #1 pick to get a possible elite QB, then **** an elite QB. We could do what good franchises do, and find a good QB in the draft and mold him into an elite QB by surrounding him with good players. Ben Roethlisberger was the 11th pick. Drew Brees was taken at the very end of the 2nd round. Aaron Rodgers was taken at the end of the 1st round. Tom Brady...we all know where he was taken. Flacco was taken 18th. Out of all the good quarterbacks in the league right now, only what...Manning and Vick were taken first overall? I'm just saying....we should do the best with what we've got and if our front office is worth their salt they will find their QB wherever we land in the draft.

I was watching flight 93 the other night, and I was hoping they would kill one of the terrorists before the plane hit the ground. I ALWAYS root for my team, even if it is the last game in a non playoff year. Dumb thread.

RedThat just needs a few days to cool down. By the time the season rolls around he'll be rooting for the Chiefs to win as many games as possible just like the rest of us.

Hey, you know what?

I acknowledged the fact that I look stupid for creating this thread.

I understand that some fans are upset because a lot probably feel I have the wrong attitude or approach to being a Chiefs fan by saying stuff like, "I hope they tank the season to get an top pick and draft an elite QB."

But I will say this, you can't tell me that some people on here haven't conceived the thought of hoping for us to do bad this year to draft Andrew Luck. And Im led to believe that simply because they ****ing HATE Cassel and are dying to have a QB. They just won't come out and publicly say it.

At least, I have the balls to come out and admit it and was willing to make myself look stupid. Yet some people are calling me a pussy? lol
