Kansas City's Best Burger.

Recently, I've had quite a few debates about which Kansas City restaurant has the best hamburger. It's cut and dry for me, but it seems that there are a handful of different spots that typically get the nod.

I'm going to restrict the poll options to local spots, but I'm sure a few chains will be mentioned.

For me, it's Town Topic...with a bullet.

Your thoughts?

No Westport Flea Market for a guy who used to live over there? This is surprising.

Out of the list I've only eaten at WFM and Town Topic and it was YEARS ago. In fact, the last time I ate at WFM it was adjacent to a shop called Bob's Bizarre Bazaar. A glass window separated the two and we wondered who would shop at a store that sold skulls and all sorts of creepy stuff. As it turned out it was owned by serial killer Bob Berdella. Freaky.

its just a solid burger everytime I go there. Is this question just asking me which one is the best out of this list or which kc burger is the best when I eat it? Or which burger would I choose if I had to eat one burger everyday for the rest of my life. I would choose town topic as the most satisfying burger when I do eat it because in the past when I have had town topic its 3 in the morning from a long night of binge drinking. 2 doubles with fried onions cheese and tator tots. Maybe even get a slice of whatever pie is looking good that morning. dwammn. However if I had to choose a burger that I had to eat everyday, itd be Winsteads. They make a really solid meal that i've eaten probably around a thousand times and I really can not remember a bad meal from there. Which one do I choose on this list? Town Topic because its ****ing amazing and those 10 diner bar stools are The heart of Kansas City. Mamma will fix you up good there.

Love the flea market burger. Been going there since junior high, so I grant you there is some nostalgia in the vote, but even with that margin of error factored in, it still wins for me. Town Topic is vile, went there a bunch when downtown was a deserted teenage playground, though I haven't been there in 20 years. I enjoy a winstead's now and again because it is different, and I worked at Chubby's back in the day when it was across from the uptown and I really didn't like the italian sausage blended in the meat that much, but I get why people like it.

A good burger is so satisfying. I am glad so many places have good ones!

And to the LA response, the best under 10 dollar burger in LA right now is at the Oinkster in Eagle Rock, but LA is definitely upping it's burger profile. I've really enjoyed a couple of the pricey ones too.
