Anyone want to guess what the odds are of his "new team" making the playoffs over his old team?

Ask Kent Babble of the KC Star.

Word on the street is that Larry sent him a thank you card ...

And this easily reflects the talent of LJ, because if the bengals do make the playoffs it will be solely among the back of their back averaging 2.7 yards per carry.

Reminder: The Kansas City Chiefs are 2-0 Without LJ.

While i dont hate LJ like some people do on here, but dude was finished. He couldnt find the holes anymore. He needs big gaping holes in order to make a good run. He can be productive in a team with a great oline, but he cant make people miss on a regular b

asis and he does not break tackles. Also, its not myth its a fact, just watch him play. Its all there in video.

Touche my friend, so let us analyze this Kansas City Chiefs team without the presence of the infamous Larry Johnson.

Let us first start with the Raider game last week.

I know the overall assessment of this game could be described as a shitpile, but even so, the obvious turning point occurred with Charles' 44 yard touchdown. The block in the back charges withstanding, do you honestly believe Johnsongrass could have made that play without falling down upon first contact? Going into deeper analysis on that game, do you believe that Larry could have broken the 100 yard barrier on only 18 carries?

Okay, so maybe we still could have won this game with the smeared help of our candid friend, so now lets move to the steelers game.

The momentum of the entire steelers game swung on a pendulum throughout its entirety, but I know for a fact that many of the game changing plays occurred upon the shoulders of Jamaal Charles. It had been a long time since I have seen a running back in Red and Gold who could shake off the big hit and continue down the field. Charles' effort quenched the thirst of a myriad of Kansas City fans who had grown accustomed of seeing LJ's fall down strategy after a gritty one yard gain. Going into specific plays of that game, do you think LJ would have scored on the final touchdown of the fourth quarter? or, even more importantly, would larry have relentless leaped two yards forward after contact to convert the third down on the previous play? Taking Larry's previous disappointing efforts into account, I do not believe he would have given the effort.

I am almost certain that with Larry Johnson starting last sundays game, the chiefs would have left the game with another loss under their belt.

And with one final thought, I recently contemplated a season where Larry Johnson is not in the picture at all. This thought brought a whole new complexion to the Cowboys game, where his consistent 1 yard carries decimated the momentum of countless drives throughout the game. (Including the overtime drive which broke the back of the chiefs.) In Johnson's place, I am sure Charles would have been able to break the 3 yards per carry barrier, and maybe alter the outcome of the entire game.

It looks like the guys who replaced him must be "worn out and done" because they are doing the same thing.

That's odd ...

Are you insinuating that Charles is giving the same effort as LJ? Or perhaps I misunderstood your post..

This has to be a dupe account, because anyone with eyes to see can see that LJ was done two years ago.

No one can be this stupid.

No one.

It is not humanly possible.

It's not even chimply possible.

So who are you, really?

His "major" effort is not translating well if you ask me.

You my friend, just used an unclear antecedent, when you say, "His" you could be referring to LJ or Charles, but since LJ is the one with the 2.5 yards per carry, obviously his "effort" was leaving much to be desired.

I am going to have to side with Milkman, this account has troll written all over it. It is rather suspicious that this account was made in 2001 and left alone for eight years, it seems to me that someone may have made an extra account long ago and put it to use for this special occasion.

I think in the steelers game Charles had 4 shots at getting a 1st down on 3rd and short.

Do you know how many times he got it?

Hint: The same number of times he caught a pass for a touchdown.

BTW .... you can count that one as a time he DIDN'T get to run ball on 3rd and short.

Go back and count the number of times they DIDN'T let him run it inside the 5 yard line.

I don't post on chefs boards because you guys are such homers but I do post on donk boards. There is no one who runs smack on the donks like I do. Go to the denver post message board and read my threads.

I am a chefs fan, I just don't chug the kool aid.

Plus, I am a 20 yr season ticker holder.

Thanks!

Let's just say I'll be fine with the amount of times Charles got a converted on a third down if he moved the chains on more occasions than Larry has scored over this entire year, sounds fair right?

You also ignore that Charles and Larry are complete opposites in terms of rushing style, Larry was run up the middle because that is what he's designed to do. He has proven on more than one occasion that he is not built to stretch it outside.

And you keep pointing out that Larry only had a 2.5 ypc because he was forced to run between the middle of line, if larry was so talented why was it on such a rare occasion that he was called to stretch it outside?

I also see you ignored my point about the chiefs not winning the steelers game without Charles and potentially winning the Cowboys game without LJ. But if you want to keep looking at minuscule details in an attempt to illustrate your point, that works for me.

I however, am going to keep focusing on what is important, and that is helping your team win when game day arrives, or being a positive influence on a team if a win is unreachable upon that gameday.

LJ was neither of these things.

You seem to be the antithesis of a non-kool aid drinker, as you have been chugging the johnson kool-aid since his departure.

I am not talking about Larry, I am talking about all the chefs running backs since LJ got da boot out of KC.

The point was that maybe it wasn't Larry fault ...
