Was winning this game worth completely blowing any shot at a QB?

We are officially out of the running for any of the quarterbacks this year, barring an unforseen trade that is highly unlikely.

Enjoyable win, but as 'Hamas' would say, "pyrrhic."

I really think people are underestimating how important #4 is. As long as Cassel is on this team we HAVE to make sure we have someone make him look like a fool. Orton just did that today. Once Cassel is gone we can worry about the next QB, but until then we can't be sure that we're in the clear.

It was one game against a bad defense, let's not go overboard with the Orton hype.

Thats true but their are still idiots on this board and others that think it was all on Haley, and thats what Pioli wants.

I will never ever ever root for my team to lose or be glad my team lost. Ever again. If I were a Colts fan right now, I'd be elated to have a win. Champagne and toasts. Speaking of. I think I wanna go out and celebrate my Chiefs looking like a professional football team for the first time in... Shit, it's been a long time.

Of course I watched the game and Orton had a good game. But anyone who thinks Orton is our Qb of the future or can lead us towards our goal of winning the Superbowl is reeruned as far as I'm concerned.

Thank you. Trade up and draft Barkley or Griffin. Have Orton as a stopgap and I'll be the happiest Chiefs fan ever.

The other thing that made this win worth it is those dickweeds on the TeSPN pregame show chortling while making the Packers-Chiefs game picks. Tom Jackson: "No way Green Bay loses this".

Awesome plan. Carl thanks you for your support and needs advise on how to implement said allegiance in Miami.

and of course the talk tonight will be about how the Packers lost the game rather than how the Chiefs won it.

Yup and from Fox Sports News:

"Rodgers was harassed by the Chiefs' weak pass rush, and Green Bay wound up making five first downs."

I guess Hali is a bum.

As I said before when I was defending the decision to start Orton.

This win loses us the chance to draft a high round QB. But it does enormous things for us in terms of sealing up Bowe and Carr, getting top-shelf Head coaches and coordinators, getting top-shelf free agents who want to play for a contender, and selling season tickets (which will make it more likely that we spend money on players).

Yep, he helped by dominating time of possession and not creating turnovers. Good game by Orton. If we got down by three TDs he probably wouldn't have played as well, but we kept it close and came out on top by playing a complete game.
