Too early to talk about the Steelers?

Listen, the odds of Miami not getting anally raped by Ben Rapeslisburger is low. There's no way in hell those guys beat Pitt on the road with a backup QB, especially after seeing them shit the bed at home today.

It's pretty much set guys. We're playing the Steelers at home.

100% Ford > 90% Houston.

Ford was leading the league in sacks (or close to) before his hammy injury/Houston's return.

In Houston's absence these last two weeks Ford has been a disruptive monster. Houston simply isn't 100% and has disappeared in games since his return. Ford has been a one man wrecking crew.
Can't disagree more. Houston at 90% is better than Ford . Now if he is only 60% I hear ya. But Houston at 60% is better in run support than 100% Ford and we will need that help big time. Here is to a Healthy Houston because he is a game changer when healthy

If I were a DC I would focus on containing Bell...he touches the ball more than Brown. Ben has a propensity for throwing picks when pressured. Kind of pick your poison..but Roethlisberger isn't nearly as good on the road.

Prepare for about 3-5 weak PI/D Holding calls along with holding allowed by their entire OLine.

Pittsburgh is a chosen team. It's 16 vs. 11.

But he's not healthy. He won't just magically get healthy in two weeks either. Being able to start and play doesn't = healthy. Lets be real here, Houston looks thinner. His base doesn't look as strong, and he's having knee issues again. All the while, Ford has found his stride and has been a beast off the right side.

And a 100% Ford was leading the league in sacks...

Look, i'm a Houston fan, obviously. But the difference between good and elite is very, very fine. The difference between good and elite is about a half second or so imo.

A 60% Houston? Pfff. A 60% Houston wouldn't make an NFL roster.

Right now Ford is playing at an elite level. Not having him on the field the majority of the time is a major mistake imo.

With our run defense being mediocre at best it will be difficult for sure to contain Bell but I hear ya and agree. I think the best defense in this game will be for us to have a great offense especially in the run game to chew up the clock and score TD's in the red zone a MUST(thus keeping those guys off the field for as much time as possible-TOP must be ours if we are to win). Our run game will have to open up with the passing game going first IMHO since that is Pitt's weakness in their defense. We can't live on FG's playing Pitt in the playoffs. Yes Ben has not been good on the road BUT it's the playoffs.

Yeah, cant let them run like theyve been able to. They have won a lot of games over the years by Ben slinging the ball around, but the chances of beating them are higher if thats what they HAVE to do.

Berry was jumping in a lot yesterday to stop the run. Could see him frustrated a couple times. Does anybody have an update on March? Wilson and Smith were being moved at will in the second level yesterday.

Facing Pittsburgh off a bye is going to help. They'll have another game coming off of a tough Miami team that gave them fits earlier. Containing Bell is the key. We also can't turn the ball over twice early on and give that potent offense short fields.

we play the Steelers or the winner of Oakland/houston

I doubt we need much prep for oakland.

so i imagine the Chiefs will be prepping hard for the steelers and the patriots.

Getting a healthy Houston back can go a long way into helping the overall run D.

Not only does he maintain his ground and seal the edge, his pass rush prowess seems to give Sutton the brass to be more aggressive with an extra defender in the box.
