I've had mine since the beginning of the summer and it's done well. haven't hit anything to cause a problem, but that's not to say I couldn't sometime in the future. I'll let you know if I do! |

Thanks for the input...I'm hoping this thing lasts a very long time for the price I paid for it.
The fiance isn't too pleased as usual but she isn't the one mowing. ![]() |

I used to work at a Sears Parts and Repair as a parts guy for 3yrs. The techs always claimed that the Honda mowers(Craftsman or not) were overpriced and that they had nothing but trouble with the engines. I am not sure about your model or if any improvements were made since I left 6 months ago.
Keep in mind my opinion of Sears techs is not the highest. |

We just bought a Yard Man self-propelled with the electric start. It was on sale, had another 10% off, and the box was mis-priced. Otherwise, I don't know what we would have bought. It was around $210 with tax, so not too bad.

Is this the 650 $ honda lawnmower that consumer reports ranked no. 1 ? If it is then I might be getting one. I still don't understand the problem mentioned by the starting thread. Why not just take it in to have a look under the hood ? I don't know how a mower could be that easily wrecked by chipping some concrete or tree roots. Hell , everyone does that !

I've got a Poulon with a Honda engine. My father had a couple Hondas. You can not go wrong.

I have a Honda self-propelled mower that was given to me a mere 2 years young.........
and my thoughts are, had I dropped the clams to get it, it is worth every penny. Period. Until I got it, I thought my $120 "Lawn Machine" was fine..... blows that out of the water. Get rid of the remorse....you'll love it.

Got the Honda lawnmower, have no problems with it. Have had problems with Briggs and Stratton engines in 3 different machines in the last year though, wouldn't buy another B/S engine ever again.
