Children die at the hands of their parents. It happens too frequently during custody battles. The mother is non-custodial and on the run. She could kill them inadvertently while on the run. And there’s probably someone holding their breath during the worst day of their life, hoping and praying that the system works and the kids are returned.

I don't think anybody is complaining *about* the alert. The complaints have been about the timing and chosen method for the alerts.
