The previous 17 shutdowns and why they happened

Thought this was an interesting article. Particularly interesting to me are the 3 shutdowns when Carter was president. The democrats had a majority in the house and senate. And of course, my favorite. The "Republican" shutdown when Clinton was in office. The one where they forced him to balance the budget.
